An All-Day All-Night Camera?Īs you may know, this is a “cropped” frame sensor, which means it is not a full-frame like my Sony A7r Mark II (see my Sony A7r Review) or not nearly as big as my medium-format Hasselblad. The quality of the photos was amazing, especially during the day. It didn’t miss a beat and came home to New Zealand with me just as good as always. I can also see this being my primary Burning Man / Festival Camera. I can see myself using this camera whenever the weather turns a bit sour. They asked if I would take their photo, and I said, “Excuse me while I whip this out,” and then to their delight, I pulled out my FUJI. I was out photographing the EARTH sculpture and 5 magical German models just showed up by random chance. I’ve seen videos of how this FUJI can take photos while under a water faucet (even better, while the water is ON), so I had to give it a go! It’s an environment that is rough on cameras (I’ve lost at least three to the weather there), so I wanted something tough. The impetus for trying it was Burning Man, where I have been for the last seven years in a row. They’re like FUJI this and FUJI that and finally I had ENOUGH! I had to try it myself, and now I know why they like them so much! Many of my photographer friends have them and they just won’t shut up about them. Quite Dirty! Burning Man Dirty, in fact! I’ve been very interested in these FUJI cameras for years. It’s easy, and anyone can do it! A Quick and Dirty FUJI XPro 2 Review I have a strange teaching method that helps you discover your own style of photography. These are all very fun filters and techniques that anyone can do. And if you have a Mac, buy an HDR program I made with Macphun called Aurora HDR.

If you ENJOY the looks of these photos I got with the FUJI, might I suggest you either: That’s part of the allure, maybe? It’s also a reason a lot of photographers don’t like me, but that doesn’t bother me. If you really want to read all about the optics and other nerdy hardcore stuff, best to visit another in-depth site, such as F-Stop Lounge which is contributed to by my FUJI buddy Leigh Diprose. I prefer to show lots of sample photos and talk about how practical a camera is. I talk like a normal person, not a gear head. Here I am on the Playa at Burning Man 2016 with the Xpro 2.
